So I am currently working on an extracting a bunch of Indian coins from a set that I picked up in a World coin lot. The reason I'm extracting them from the holder because it has a clear adhesive front and back that stuck to the coins and started ruining them. So I'm slowly removing them and soaking them in acetone to get the sticky glue off of them. One positive thing about the crappy holder is that it caused some cool toning on a few of the coins. Here's a photo of the set as I am starting the removal process. I will post some of the interesting pieces as I get them out and safe.

Before I got into ancients, I tried to assemble a set of Indian silver rupees. Burnt out on the hundreds of barely-distingusable Arabic coins, and scaled it back to this little assortment:

Terribly common, but normally seen in obviously circulated condition. This one's unusually nice.

1969/70 Rupee commemorating the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth. The tiny diamond at the bottom of the reverse indicates that this specimen was struck at the Mumbai mint.
