Interesting Die Clash On Idaho State Quarter

MS70Error5 Valued Member United States 434 Posts	Posted 11/07/2015 4:46 pm I noticed what looks like four tail feathers (style sort of like the Eagle tail feathers on a Kennedy half dollar) above the falcon. You may need to zoom in on the picture a little to see that it is raised and not a dent. I found it interesting because there were no Eagle reverse quarters during this time to make a tail feather looking clash. That's why I possibly think it could be from a Kennedy half dollar. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/08/2015 11:33 am It is damage on the coin, not on the die. If it were damage on the die, it would be raised on the coin. It is incuse on the coin. The reeds are on the inside of the collar. So the possibility of this happing is almost nil. Report this Post to the Staff
