Going by these pics it does not look like 001. What do you use to take pics?

The die marker for 001 is a reverse die clash seen between the columns of the memorial. That I can see fairly easily. I take the pics with my phone (S3) through my 60x mini microscope

The reverse die clash is very common on alot of LMC's

Weight it to see if it's on a homogeneous copper alloy planchet. If 3.1 grams let us know.

Koinpro....I don't have a digi scale on hand, but I will ask one of my buddies tomorrow. (He really likes his herb so he probably has a scale lol!) Just curious why I should wiegh this particular one?

Ohh....I'm assuming there must be some copper 1983's? If that's so, then wouldn't the flipping method work? In order to tell if a 1982 cent is copper or zinc, I flip it and then listen to the sound it. A copper cent will have a "ting" whereas a zinc cent has a thud.

One last question.... Should I check the 1983-D cents? I'm not sure if the copper alloy sent was just from the Philadelphia Mint or if there was some issued from the Denver Mint as well?
