i came across this coin today and does not have the mint mark and its kind gold in color! Any thoughts on it?

It looks like a 1990P that was maybe painted gold at one time. I see copper showing through the wear areas.

Has either a thin gold plating or other gold color coating, that has also seen extensive circulation after the plating.
