It would be so easy for the seller to take some quick cell phone pics, and people would bid much higher.

My guess is perhaps the seller was betting on someone buying the slab, not the coin, so took an image good enough to read the grade on the slab but not good enough to grade the coin, since it is overgraded.

I posted that I felt this is a coin that would grade in the Fine range.
Without having the coin in hand, stating a F 12 or F 15 would be hard.

When I look at a Indian Head cent, I look at "LIBERTY", for me to grade
It VF, I want to be able to make out every letter. From what I see on this
coin "LIB" are just not very clear, to me just not clear enough to make
VF. Also on most VF coins I see (graded) there is some detail on the
feather tips.

Old school grading, to me, is a VF coin has even wear on the coin,
but all the details can be seen. Of course some lack of details can be
weak, due to (light) striking. For example the four diamonds are not
always there, even on MS coins.

I have no problem taking chances on auctions, with poor pictures.
But it will not always be a winner. The price is not to far off and
it does fill a empty hole.
