The bank didn't have the full brick of nickels so we had to settle for $20. Only found 4 keepers: 40-P 41-S 46-P 54-D

Started searching through a box today. First box of nickels I've searched in a while. Been doing cents. I'm 35 rolls through the fifty. Nothing spectacular; 2009-P, 2009-D, 18 pre-1960, one Canadian, something that looks like a 1999-P DDO/ Then.... a 2016-P pops up and I flip it over and it's rotated. Didn't think about it much. I was thinking it was rotated about 45 degrees as I was looking at the right side of the Memorial. About another roll later another of the same appears. Same rotation. Then I'm looking and I'm calling the degrees from the wrong end of the Memorial. From other examples I found (not 2016s) the rotation is from the left side of the Memorial. And the comparison to these others shows its a 110 degree rotation.
I searched the net for any 2016-P examples and could not find any. Has anyone run across these? Are they worth getting graded?
Thanks!

Just finished my box of nickels and am putting them into 5 books (Whitman) I had laying around empty. 1 book 1938 to 1961 didn't find too many for this book found 17 the oldest was 1939-P, no War Nickels yet. 1 book starting 1962 to 1994 just missing 1969-P, 1969-S, 1970-P, 1970-S so not too bad. On the three books starting 1996 missing 1997-D, 3-2003-D, 1-2004-P keel-boat, 2-2004-D keel-boat, 3-2005-D Ocean view, 1 2005-D bison, 2-2008-D, 3- 2009-P and D (Found no 2009's), 3-2010-D, 1 2012-D, 1- 1995 D, living in Ohio don't always get the D's. So not bad time to pick up the next box.

I posted something about this in the dimes CRH post but thought it relevant here and over in the cents CRH post.
I stopped at the bank yesterday for a box of dimes. When the clerk came out I saw lots of shiny ends. My guess is all 2017s which seems to be confirmed by my spot checking through the holes.
I know many are looking for that silver, 82s, 83s, or other oddity. But isn't a new box an opportunity to look through what has never been looked through before? I know when I'm going through re-wrapped coins I often think, "how many others looked at this and passed it up".
What are some other thoughts on new untouched boxes?

I found a 1944S last night, only our 10th of these ever.
That is the second rarest silver nickel.

Interesting finds, coinee. I think the 1938 is late die state. The 1999 is probably Machine Doubling. You will want to post that in the V/E forum for more opinions though. http://goccf.com/f/5
