Been a long while since I posted my nickel roll findings. I was searching hot & heavy when the OP was completing his mission of 25000 rolls of nickels searched. No doubt I surpassed that since 2009 when I started & searching heavily through 2014 when I slowed down immensely due to time constraints. Here are some results. I wish I had kept track of all the V's & Buffaloes as other searchers did. Some highlights were (3) 1939 Double Monticello's (Pictured is the first & nicest found). 1921S & 1931S (natural dates) & a 1936D AU Buffalo. Oldest V was a well worn 1883 with Cents. (1315) War Nickels (which I only kept track of due to silver content) & 11 Large Cuds.

Those are great numbers, ratman4762! Really impressive finds there; especially 3 1939 DDOs! I'm wondering: did you every come across a nickel blank planchet? I see occasional posts were people report blank cent planchets (I have found 3 so far) but never a nickel planchet. Congratulations!

Aristarchus123, I never did run across a nickel planchet, but I'm pretty sure that if I felt like unwrapping & rerolling all those boxes of new nickels the banks were trying to give me...I would have found some. (I started opening boxes & checking for new nickels before I left the bank) 2009 was the only year I never could get my hands on a box of new nickels.
