Thanks tencentpenny, I just found a proof 1957 nickel. I am not photographing it so just imagine a pf64 to pf65 nickel. My first Philly proof found crh. I am quite happy also had a 43p War Nickel and some pre60s but I have 3 3/4 box left.

Well, it's been around 4 weeks now and my "supply" bank still can't get coinage, even for their business accounts. I visited today and my supply friend told me she'll call me as soon as they can get some nickels but can't promise me anything.

I also visited two retail stores I used to work at and both of them are only getting a fraction of their change orders. (They ordered 1000 rolls of quarters and got 50) They're very low on quarters and are giving dimes and nickels away for change. I told them I can probably scuff up ten rolls or so of quarters to help out.

I might have to see what banking company in the area (if any) doesn't have a supply problem and open an new account with them.

Congrats on the '50-D, Oldfordman!

atticguy, what bank is your main one and what provider do they use? Brinks supplies Wells Fargo here, and they seem to be fine on coin for now. However, Chase, BofA, and USBank use other vendors such as Garda, and they all have had some supply problems here lately.

As for me, I've been very busy with other stuff lately, so the CRH time has not been what I'm used to. However, a week and a half ago, I managed to search through 4,000 nickels (3,560 MWR, 440 CWR). Lately, the MWR haven't been productive around here, but this time was much different. I found a total of 40 pre-60s including my first V nickel of the year (1903), & 6 War Nickels: 43-P (2), 43-S, 44-D, 45-P, & 45-S. I also managed to find a 2009-P and 7 2009-Ds!

Thanks, jbuck! Considering it normally takes me about 15,000 coins searched to find 6 War Nickels and a 2009-P, I was pretty happy with the yield with "only" going through two boxes worth of nickels!

My waiting time for a box of nickels from my bank is now at two months. Told they (Flagstar) are still unable to order coins.

Went through 6,800 nickels bought on Wednesday yesterday, found 53 pre-60s including a 1925-D (I think) Buffalo, the hard-to-find 1943-D War Nickel along with a 1944-P, semi-key 1949-S, 1951-S, and 1958 coins, an impaired 1963 Proof, and 10 2009-Ds.
