Well, the 2016 set is still on sale.
Also, the 2015 set is back. At least 100 sets are available.

That's strange, after reports of it ( 2015 set ) being sold out that there are more than 100 available now, I wonder what is going on?
How many 2016 sets do you think were sold yesterday? I have a feeling it didn't sell as many as the 2015 set did on the first day. I am guessing in the 30 K range for day one.

I believe the 2015 Coin and Currency sets came back on sale repeatedly as orders were returned, canceled or audited out. Probably more so on the part of resellers returning their orders when they saw secondary market prices drop. I suspect we'll see some more 2015 sets offered by the Mint for a little while longer.
As for first day of sales on the 2016 set, I'd envision 30k were sold. 2015's first day saw some 44k sold, but I think a good amount was speculation based on 2014's set.

And thanks for posting the serial numbers, Foxwoods! I wonder how low the serial numbers in these sets will go.

Not quite 30K in first day sales, 21,149 to be exact. Not exactly bringing the house down, as last year's release sold in excess of 44K the first few days on a 90,000 limit.

Perhaps we might get lucky and find out that they didn't mint them all at once and decided to cut the mintage short.

Ordered 2 sets and a few other items today at 11pm. No problem...no hype on this set...to many speculators got burned on the Mercury dime and are tired of playing the game. Just my guess.

Grabbed mine tonight along with a few other items. No issues, predictably.

24,497 sets reported sold by June 19.
Far lower than I expected. Regardless, I look forward to receiving the sets soon and putting them next to my 2014 and 2015 sets.

I received my five sets today. They look good other than a good bit of dust inside the capsules. Interestingly, the dollar bills in all five of the sets I received are sequential.
I'd be very pleased if the mint would cut the mintage.

Bret, nice to have sequential notes. Are the serial numbers near the range of what was reported above, like F00013xxxA?
