Here's a picture of the reverse. It's not that amazing, that's why I got it for so cheap ($85). The obverse is definitely DMPL (at least according to this http://www.coingrading.com/plcoins1.html )...I wasn't planning to be able to get one of these for at least a couple years, so I'm very thankful.  Here's another picture of the obverse.

I keep looking at the reverse of the 1858. There seems to be a U on the shield. Is that a clash?
No matter what it is, that coin is one nice piece of history.

A clash shouldn't affect the devices. I see that too, though.
