Looks off to me, especially the date.

It appears to be a genuine 1932 Washington quarter with an added S mintmark. On second look the whole coin does look counterfeit. It needs in-hand evaluation or TPG to be sure. Can you provide a close-up photo of the mintmark?

I agree that the date and mint mark do not look correct.
I would lean toward this coin being fake

Here's a genuine S mintmark from a 1932-S quarter.

Your coin is a counterfeit, there are many wrong details. The 2 in the date is shaped wrong, the middle peak of the W in IGWT should be lower than the outer uprights, IGWT should have low relief, and the mintmark is shaped wrong. I would also bet that the coin is underweight and not silver.

Unfortunately it looks like a cast counterfeit to me, since it has a porous look. The MM is off too.

The S mint mark seems a bit big? I took a close up of my circulated 1932-S.

The date, all by itself is so WRONG, you really don't need to look further.

I can see the brass showing through the silver plating. My fake 1792 Half Disme is the same story.
