Hi everyone,

Please, help identify this 1844 shilling. Based on what I googled, this shilling supposed to have "young head" on the back, but it does not. Is it fake?

I don't know much about coins, found this one while walking outside with my son.

Thank you for your help!

Leylith

Hello.
Unfortunately, the coin is a modern replica. They gave these out with the Assassins Creed 3 video game back in 2012.
The reason for the hole is that they were originally attached to a necklace.

From the pictures, the colour and texture looks to be of a cast replica.
