Now I know the 1992 penny Close AM is rare and I understand that all those from 1993 to 2008 are Close AM except for those Wide AM in those years ( WAM). I was wondering if there is such a thing as a wider AM in a 1992? I have found this 1992 penny that is wider than original ones from that year with extra spacing between the AM.

I will post the photos in order from a 1992, 1992-D, and the 1992 (WAMMER as I call it). I doubt there is anything special but I thought about getting everyone else's opinions on this or if others have found them. You will notice extra spacing than the other 1992s on the last photo. Its a bit messy with the green crap on it but the spacing is pretty noticeable.

Perhaps it is normal and I've been just starring into these coins too long. When the pictures are bigger there is extra spacing between the AM on the last photo but not significant.

Suspecting die wear. All the devices seem to be shrinking in size, thus making for larger gaps between. Thanks, Doug.

I believe this comes from over polishing the area between the letters. Notice that the letters also look thinner in your "wider" coin.
Rest in Peace
