I'm waiting for my dad to unload his hoard too. Figure he's 65 so it may be coming soon!

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware silver couldn't be separated due the mixed composition.

Congrats! That is how I got started - my grandparents gave me a Morgan silver dollar when I was 10 or 11 and told me there would be more when I got older and they did give me more. Also, got some when my wife's dad passed away.

Okay....i finally went through the War Nickles ! There was a "P", "D", "S" of each year 1942,43,44,45......except I'm missing one mint in the year 42. Almost had each year represented with each mint.
I still haven't attempted to clean them yet........ not sure about the acetone and distilled water thing. Never done that before, so I might just leave them as they are...not sure.
