Wondered about other Silver $1 coins as in the Lucky Loonies.
They are silver and dollars. They commemorate Olympics.

Haven't forgotten them, they are all in my Loonie collection. That's over 150 coins with Proof, Specimen and PLs

J&M Coins has the entire catalog of $1 Silver Coins issue since 1971:

https://www.jandm.com/script/getite...CID=5&PID=29

Note that the 5 oz Gold Plated and painted Big Coin loonies and the 2 oz Voyageur coin are considered $1 Silver Coins even they are not the standard size silver dollars.

You may not called them silver dollars but officially they are. J&M Coins catalog is based on the Charlton Standard catalog, which list the Big Coin loonies as $1 Silver coins.

Without these coins your collection is incomplete.

Wow that is a huge list from just 2000! I am glad you took the time to put it together! Now I have something to look at and determine what I am missing. There's way more than 16 coins, I don't like all, still need to include them. It would be nice, if some of these modern dollars would have images added to thread. I like seeing photos!

LOL Well I don't have a 1911 Silver dollar in my collection either, so I guess my Silver Dollar collection will always be incomplete

I hear Google is pretty good at finding images

But your criteria is from 2000-2016. Not 1911, 1935, 1967, 1971, or 1999.

Not in my mind!

I define my silver dollar collection as silver dollars of the traditional 36mm diameter -- the specification that was used for Canada's circulating silver dollars from 1935 to 1967.

I have absolutely no problem eliminating coins that are outside -- smaller or larger -- of this traditional specification.

I think we all have the right to define our collections the way that makes the most sense to us as well as to decide which coins are needed to make our collection "complete."

The criteria is Silver Dollars, the 2000-2016 list was compiled due to the variety increase that seems to have been implemented post 2000. While previous years occasionally had different versions they were basically issued 1 Silver dollar per year

There are three or four versions of the dollar in 2015 if you include the one in the regular proof set.

All available BU Silver Dollars should be added between
2000 to present. They will be discontinued so the list will
be limited after this year. Their mintages are usually
lower, but they do make up another finish. Gold plated,
Enamel, Proof, BU, all 36 mm, weight may vary due to
Silver content, .925 in the early years (1992-2002).

Again, a person can collect what they want, want to make
sure your list is complete.

Here are some shots of some dollars on your list, hope
you enjoy pocketchange50, others who have a
pic should upload, let those coins breath and see the
light, great topic lucv13;

These two from 2003 have different effigies.
