Could you please give your opinion if this is a fake 1879 cc. I compared it with VAM 2 that could have filled G in God but there is something that doesn't convince me like the 7 in date..

(not a Morgan expert) but if a VAM number for a particular year has unique die parings, then your coin is not a VAM-2 based on the position of the mint mark.

The CC on the coin does not appear to tilt left as on the VAM 2, and the c' s appear to be different shape. It could be post mint damage as the coin has more thing right than wrong.
