Quote:So the mintage of the Canoe cards will be increased? First RCM re-minted the cardbord boxes and now the cards. Ya well... I don't think thats a big deal since most people cashing in to the bank didn't give the card with the coin and likely destroyed them. Then again I wonder if anyone cashed in the canoe coins since they were more popular then most of the 20 for 20. I cant believe I wasted time typing out this reply about canoe cards lol.

I cant believe I wasted time typing out this reply about canoe cards lol. I can't believe I wasted time reading it. Now, gotta get back to listing my "old" canoe cards on ebay as "rare RCM printing errors". BIN for only $200. Seriously, I hope the reprints are the square format and not just trimmed rectangles. lol

You raised a good point, CC-Ottawa
For all the cards and COAs and package lovers - the coin attached to the old Canoe card could be attractive.
But, I assume, that the amount of "old" cards will be much lower, than a new ones, so, the new card could be listed as "rare error" to attract customers even do not suspect the official change. (like people usually flipping the coin in circulation coin pack and selling them as "error")

Actually the new cards would be rarer then the old cards since you only get one if you bought one of the 7000 or 10000 produced case or whatever the number ends up being.
Hmmm I just wasted more time...

Quote: Hmmm I just wasted more time... Canoe cards is ok - in this case this is "illustrated COA" Next time we might discuss about changed clear pouches, that RCM sends in them 20for20 coins

Sure but the news ones are correcting the old ones so the old ones are the error. And none are really rare....just like almost everything sold by the Mint, coin flippers, ebay listers etc etc. Just a buzz word. Hey maybe the replacements are, as the marketer say, just "new and improved". But wait, there's more. Order now and get a second free, just pay our crazy shipping and handle charge twice. Not sold in store. Get yours today! Offer not valid in Alaska or Hawaii. Okay Northerncoins, I think if you read this, we are even. lol

I hesitated to put this on the 20/4/20 discussion or whether it should go on the Star Trek post... I received my 20/4/20 ST coins this morning, 5 of them, but only one 'card/folders COA's' to go with the coins. In the past they (the mint) has been putting all the coins in one card/folder, but including the additional folders in pristine mint condition (no coins glued to them) So, why no extra folders this time? ps, I can confirm that 'Canada' appears on the obverse of the coins.

Mine arrived today too. One card per coin. Looks like someone in the mail room messed up your shipment.
Though this probably should be in another thread....this one is about the case that doesn't have a slot for this coin. lol j/k

I emailed my rep, he said he will sent me the missing coin cards. Perhaps you can also contact your rep about this?

In addition, I requested another 3 Star Trek 20/4/20's but was denied - "A strict limit of 5 coins - even for Master's Club" so I went online with another email address, and got 5 more ordered

Here is a pic of both cases side by side. Yes I know I have two 25 for 25 coins in a 20 for 20 case. Just for clarity, the Lighthouse Volterra case is not really wooden as suggest here ( https://goccf.com/t/254548&whichpage=2#2146153 ). It may be a pressed wood chips and glue product but it is very light and definitely not solid wood. It obviously has no place for the certificates but the other thing that surprised me is that the coins are about as loose in the Lighthouse case as they are in the RCM case. Overall, I can't pick a winner between the two cases.

But the padding in the lid ensures they won't fall out or get jostled around. In my opinion the LHC case is a far superior product and a better investment. If the Mint sticks with 5 coins rather than for each of the the next two years, I'll have a complete eight year set by the end of 2018. The cards, large or small fit nicely most of the shipping boxs or large envelopes and don't take up that much room.

Has anyone received a replacement box yet? I'm wondering if they're better quality
