One week after posting I had not found any 2016 coins yet in Victoria, I just got a nice dime in change.

The local casino that I go to spits out 2016 coins like crazy! I've got a whole bunch of 2016 nickels and quarters.

I found my first nickel today in change and I have had a couple rolls of quarters and dimes for over a month now. No loonies or toonies yet. None of my teller friends have seen the lucky loonie yet.

Not sure if this is still a thing, but happen to be in Canada, just looked through a few bucks in change - 2016 quarter and dime. Been through Golden Banff Jasper Hinton area.

I found a loonie commemorating women's rights back in Jan. and haven't seen a 2016 dollar coin since. I got the dime next back in April then the quarter in early May. Took a while but my wife came in the door and had a handful of 2016 nickels from the local casino. So far no two dollar coins. My concern is that we seem to be heading toward a cashless society. What are we going to do then? Stores keep pushing to have people use their credit cards. It used to be that Canadian Tire gave you CT money when you paid with cash. Now they are offering 4% if you use debit or one of their credit cards. The way things are going, coins & paper money collecting will be something for the history books, I'm guessing!

I'm seeing more 2016s now. If I'm really lucky I start seeing new coins in late May, but usually mid-late June. Gotten 2 quarters and a nickel. I've seen many dimes, commemorative toonies, and both commemorative loonies. No regular toonie or loonie yet. My workplace got a box of 2016 mint-wrapped dimes so I see quite a lot of them around.
