coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/19/2016 01:15 am Here is an EDS example to see what the first coins look like struck with the DDO die that year: Note the notches on the bottom right side of the '1's? Your coin is missing that. Also the notch on the 9? The devices on your coin look wider, but that is from circulation flattening, not hub doubling. Note on tapapple65's coin on the 1? There is a notch there as well as a notch on the 9. The second '1' is missing that notch, but it may have been flattened over that area. Circulation flattening covers over sometimes that was there.
