Its not noticable without a jewelers loop do to general wear and you have to look really close with it. Ill post one once I get back home. I did the research and know the backstory. Just figured id get some experienced advice.
Definitely a counterstamp. Counterstamped coins almost always do not add value to a coin because the stamp was added well after the coin left the mint and was placed into circulation. Since a 1966 dime is only worth face value, this coin would be a spender. Don't feel bad though, we have all found interesting coins that turned out to only be face value. (If you look at my history, you will see a couple) One of the great things I like about the CCF forum is that the members will be honest with you. If you keep at this hobby long enough, I'm sure you will find other coins that will make up for the disappointment of this one.
