So I won a coin in an auction that ended on the 22/2/16. I paid it on the 24/2/16 and paid twice the postage price to have the item tracked and sent quicker. This was an international transaction and the postage cost represented almost 15% of the total cost of the coin, not a small amount in my opinion.
the coin was not marked as sent nor did the seller upload tracking details, however I am patient and I waited till the 1/3/16 before I asked him if he had sent the item and if so could he provide me tracking details.
his response was
"Hello, sure I will get tracking for you this afternoon. It may well take a few weeks though could be much less - shipping times to Australia can vary somewhat"

So again I patiently waited for tracking details to arrive until 10/3/16 when I received notification from ebay that the item has been sent and the status of the transaction changed to sent. However I still had not been provided with tracking details so I contacted the seller and asked
"I received notification from ebay today advising you have just sent the coin and haven't uploaded tracking details. Can you please advise if this is the case? As it is 10 business days since I paid for the item and I paid twice the shipping price for tracking and quicker delivery and I would be disappointed if this is the case"

his response
"It went over to the person that ships everything out a little while ago so will be well on the way. Apologies for any confusion, just got begin updating the ebay records. Enjoy the coin."

Now he could have uploaded the tracking details as per my request but didn't and when I closely scrutinised his feedback and focused on the negative I noticed a few transactions that had been defected as non delivered.

So given the length of time involved and the conduct of the seller I contacted ebay on the 23/3/16 and they encouraged me to lodge a non receipt claim with paypal after reviewing the circumstances. Make no mistake I didn't enter into this lightly, it is the 1st time I have ever lodged a paypal case and I really did want the coin but to protect myself from getting dudded I took the time to lodge a case.

Now today I have received the coin, sent not via tracking as I requested and paid for, but rather signature on delivery. It was also clearly sent no earlier than the 9/3/16 when the stamp was issued by the royal post office (the stamp is dated)

So I have had to take more time to cancel the paypal case and have outlined my grievances to the seller via ebay.

Now comes the new issue, I obviously cannot deal with this seller ever again, they not only lied to me but breeched the financial agreement we reached when I paid for the item. You just cant do business with a person like that.

I am interested in hearing what others on this forum think I should now do?
Note this was not just a hobby eBayer but rather is a proper business seller with a large amount of feedback

Sounds like a case of the Seller earning a well-deserved negative feedback rating.

Sounds as if you were fortunate to receive the coin at all after the run-around. Avoid international transactions.

I would definitely skip this seller in the future but I don't think you should spend anymore time or energy being unhappy ; I re-read your post and couldn't tell what actual monetary loss this caused for you.

It sounds a bit fishy as if they used an ebay "shipping center" rather than directly sending it to you.

Also depending upon the item ordered it is possible that the dealer didn't even have it in stock but rather obtained it from another source. I knew a major dealer who stocked very little of what he advertised but went on the old dealer-to-dealer FACTS teletype to purchase items whenever he received an order ; he's dead now ...

Either Neg them and/or "1 Star" them for Shipping Time/Cost, then move on and forget about it. You communicated and gave the seller every opportunity to perform appropriately and they did not.

I would leave negative.

Paid for upgrade shipping - did not get upgrade shipping

Seller did not do as he communicated he would.

Things happen, sometimes in control, sometimes out of someones control. I wouldn't waist anymore time on it. You got your coin, the coin is as advertised, for what you bid.

I wouldn't leave negative feedback, that just opens up another can of worms. I would leave neutral feedback.
"Received coin, was as advertised at price I bid. Paid extra for tracking and expedited shipping, seller did not honor this agreement, no refund of extra shipping" and be done with it. Why drag it out.

the main reason I am considering leaving negative feedback is because he lied to me and took my money for a service he didn't provide
if he had said that he dropped he ball and has just posted it then I would have been a lot more forgiving but he didn't, he plain out lied that he sent it earlier.
I have outline these grievances to him and am now awaiting his response before I name him here. he is after all a member of ccf
thanks for your advice guys, this will be the 1st neg I have ever left

Why not a negative. It's well deserved. If the seller tries to contact ebay and have it removed, he's either going to waste his time (the message chain is visible to ebay and pretty clear) or he'll beg and get it removed. Either way, you've said your piece.

Then move on. If you want to post his ebay id as a warning for other international buyers, then why not? It might help your fellow CCFer.

No need to take this personally or to worry about this 1 minute longer. Leave negative feedback and move on...

I sincerely believe, the older I get, that what goes around comes around. Neg if you feel you need to and enjoy your coin.

so after thinking about it and waiting for a response from the seller (which did not happen) I have decided to name the seller here
http://www.kingstoncoincompany.co.uk/
Kingston coin company is the seller who lied to me and failed to deliver what I paid for then ignored me.
he trades on eby as Kingston coin company with 5583 feedback currently and is on ccf as Jeff_11
http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...play&id=7842

I would recommend against dealing with him given my experience
