Hello all, posted this one as a VAM 12A on VAMWorld.com. I posted it because it had what appeared to be 3 clashes instead of 2 clashed like the plate pics. I was told this may be a MAD. I am posting it here to hear what the Clash gurus think. Thank you for the help.

I have an 1883-O VAM1C2 with the same appearance. My theory is that the second line is actually part of the same (neck line and hair V in this case) transfer, one line being the base transfer and the second being the extent of transfer up the radius of the obverse die details. Just my theory offered with a grain of salt.

Your third clash may be the result of die chatter which will produce another clash during the same event. This phenomena is similar to " Machine Doubling", but instead of the coin receiving the close doubling, it is the other die that receives the close doubling.

Sorry I never got back to you. Definitely the same... V12A with one clash that is slightly off from the other. Kind of neat.
