I'm glad you all have enjoyed the trip.

I spent the lsat day or so going through the 375 or so mercs and 97 Washington quarters.

There were around 75 AU/MS mercs and 30 or so AU/MS washingtons.

All the high grades were around 1939-1941. (See a pattern here :))

Man, If only my family was from Denver or San Francisco lol. Some MS D or S MM's would be sweet. The phillys are still nice though.

Overall there was around $80 face value in silver in the bank and around $6 face in nickels.

So worst case senario the bank was $1000 or so in silver.

Yeah, but one would have to wonder how and why an Eisenhower dollar ended up in there.

GRR: Glad you did not break the bank. Looks like it could be collectable in and of itself. To you it is much more it is an heirloom! Now the 1853 Braided Hair Large Cent that's interesting that that got in there. The 1939-S Washington quarter --- Wow! XF-45! And let me tell you I have no trouble selling those. Don't overlook how nice a find the gorgeous original 1910-S Vg-8 Barber dime is. Fine-12 on that coin takes off like a rocket and tops $40.00. I think Vg-8 is about $8.00 which is what makes that such a great coin. Cause when the next grade just surges like that obviously the coin is much scarcer or even rare in that grade.
