Thanks WildflowerAB, you're right it does. You have to love it and I do. In 8 years at an average of 80 calls a year I've missed about 5 and I work full time. Thanks again..... Back to NCLT

Astronomy anyone? Noticing the $20 Fine Silver Coin - The Universe: Glow-in-the-Dark Glass with Silver Fume. It combines silver engraving, a coloured sky and glass radio wave (both of which GITD). It features a depiction of the NRC Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory near Penticton BC.
Although it's not a fit for my collection, a lot of creativity has went into the design.

Also I notice that CC&C has already up for sale the Polar Bear coin to it's VIP members.

Yes, that one. RCM mentions something about 90% go to MC so I guess the other 10% get distributed to dealers. It suprised me to see it listed there so soon though. Limit of 1 per household.

Quote: 5oz glass is sold out already Just wondering, how high it will go... 5x issue or even 10x? The coin contains couple of " RCM First": *First Maple Leaf Murano Glass* *First 5oz Murano Glass* *First Murano Glass face value $50* .....looks like key date coin here and collectors can not miss this. Let's hope to get it somehow

I highly doubt it will fetch 10 times or even 5 times issue price. To me it seems like an attempt to keep the failing glass series alive. But then again, there is no shortage of suckers out there.

Bromberg is the king of commissioned 5oz coins. Any chance he is involved in this one and is holding 50% or more of the mintage? That would be the (Hersey's) kiss of death on any thought these will appreciate very much. Personally, I would rather have any one of his "big coins" than the Murano.

That's the question....how many dealers bought a bunch at a discount? Maybe we'll see a few hundred for sale on TSC.

Hey wildflowerAB... it will be interesting to see if that gets taken off. I can't see it because I'm not a VIP member. Can you let us know? I think I might even mention it to my rep. See what he has to say.

At the beginning, the coin was overpriced another 5oz with Murano glass, that overdone, and mintage not so low. Not clear, why the Mint issued it at all. After quick sellout, it: Several categories " RCM first", low mintage, attractive winner. And not clear now, where fro is still possible to load the coins.

When the 2oz Voyageur was selling like hotcakes to MC, someone here mentioned it was also available for a brief period of time to VIP members at CC&C. I can't vouch for that as I generally don't watch out for selling-out-fast new releases but RCM does specify 90% as opposed to 100% are reserved for MC members so I think CC&Cs listing is legit. I will admit that I like their rewards program better than RCM because it's not limited to only new NCLT. Min $1000 in a calendar year, not only present and past NCLT issues but everything they sell including circulation and supplies, cases etc.

It's also known as running with the pack, herd, or flock, pick one! Something I wonder about the 5oz with Murano glass though. Might the Maple Leaf be somewhat limiting in collector appeal mainly to Canadian collectors because it's our national symbol? For any one NCLT to sustain higher demand, does the theme need to be somewhat more global? I have no idea....just curious about other's thoughts.
