Just wondering, how high it will go... 5x issue or even 10x?

No, it will not go 5x or 10x. Not even 2x. 5 oz coins never do well. Their mintage is always around 1500 to 2000 and there is not one single example of 5 oz coins going for multiple issue. Not even the Farewell to the Penney 5 oz coin cracked the $1000 mark. Nor any of the gold plated big coins sold for at multiple issue price.

It may go to the $700 to $800 range but at $700 you are only to break even.

You actually correct, MoneyPenney
The issue price is high enough....but this sudden sellout...

There is only one type of coins crossed 2x "issue" from the CAD 550 range - these are BoC $5 gold coins (ofcause they not NCLT)

Why is the Polar Bear Coin NOT coming with a nice wooden display case like the Voyageur and the Loon Scallop Coin.

Mint Website shows a clamshell maroon case....

Not exactly.
The Goose is #1 of MC Exclusive coins,
but the Voyageur is "Renewed Silver Dollar Series: Coin #1"

So, if there are 3 Exclusive MC coins per MC year, we could expect some cycle, while one coin scallopped (free coin), the second one is Renewed SD (next will be 1936-2016) and third one - innovative technology.
It could be like this, but I believe, RCM will change the plan according to the demand.

Many dealers including CP started carrying the May release.
The 5oz glass maple coin is being offered at release price (CAD$549) everywhere in the meantime.

Also CP has revealed the rest of the coins in the National Hero series.

I think the National Heros series would look great in a floating frame, prominently displayed in a home with young children. I'm mulling this one over, as a Christmas gift.

Contrary to the 5oz Maple Leaf being sold out, according to RCMs website it's "awaiting stock" offering an email notice of future availability.

Thanks for the pic of the other three hero coins. That make the decision not to buy very easy.

I had a good look at the Geometry in Art coin at CP this morning. While it is an interesting coin and series, also somewhat pricey. The first coin in the series is still widely available. We'll see how this one does...

The May release has been listed on The Coin Shoppe.

Among all already discussed items, they've managed to get something cool:

DISPLAY CASE FOR SIX 5 OZ COINS - Royal Canadian Mint

This one not easily could be found.
We can store in it our 5oz coins from RCM.
"Farewell to Penny"
"5oz QE II" coin
"25-th Anniversary SML"
"2012 200-th Anniversary of War of 1812"
"5oz Big Coins"
and some other your favorite 5oz RCM branded coins

Mintage (production quantity) not mentioned.

@Sopaholic:
Thanks a lot for the info!

"The Police" coin makes a commemoration to 2006-2010 Dodge Charger Pursuit Pack (R/T trim : 5.7L V8 engine) together with Police Officer.

Now this is really getting stupid.
The EXCLUSIVE Masters Club Coin Series: COIN #3 - 99.99% Pure Silver Polar Bear with Blue Enamel (2016) - as we know is not really Exclusive to MC. CA has is as pre-order on their site. They mention nothing about it being a MC coin, but they do write, "This highly exclusive piece has a very low mintage of only 4,000 coins."

Now here is the real kicker. While some people wonder if it is number 2 or 3 of the MC coins, CA claims it to be "the first coin in the Royal Canadian Mint's innovative new series featuring classic Canadian icons"

Well, the so called "Exclusive" MC Polar coin has been available to Canadian Coin and Currency VIP customers for a week now.

Not only that, but the RCM still have it in stock for MC members at a limit of 3 which shows a lack of interest in it.

It looks like MC members are not snapping it up.
