As for now, the gold Coin has not been released to lower tiers yet. It will be offered to them Monday or late this evening. Don't give up hope yet. Its possible they will add more inventory so keep going to the RCM site or go on coin forums like this. And look for the email from the RCM. |

OK thanks MoneyPenney, I just wasn't sure how it worked. I'm just a regular platinum MC and receive an email last week from my rep so I bought one. He actually asked me how many I wanted. It must be a mistake that I got emailed that early.

If this coin is on the cusp of being "awaiting stock" - has the RCM ever added more stock to specifically time it for the release to lower tier MC and then general public...? I don't think so...unless significant number of cancelled orders... Edited by Electrum

@SherwoodDavid, I tried to access RCM's website on Star Trek coins with Platinum account but unsuccessful. So only Platinum Prestige & Platinum Plus members can order online at this moment. Awaiting stock on gold coin now.  |

In general, the interest can't to last for long. By the way, if ebay pre-sales have been cleared by RCM / ebay, nothing stops people list it locally. On the Kijiji GTA I see 2 listings. |

You're correct about Kijiji but I see the 2 ads are not providing info for Sept release. Will be a hard sell without any protection. In the end it will be a wait and see scenario. Buyers of this "coin" from RCM have RCM protection for 30 days after issue. |

At this rate , the fakes will be "released" /available before the real thing lol, I guess I will just wait for a $10 fake/replica/copy which ever.

Good point, and considerate of RCM to give Chinese counterfeiters a four month window to perfect their fakes prior to the release date. |

This a licensed coin selling for only a $100 premium over other RCM 1/2 ounce gold coins. There are millions of Star Trek fans/fanatics around the world. Call me crazy, but I see this coin becoming quite valuable, and in time those who had to pay an extra $91 in taxes won't care. Just my opinion. |

ebay stands behind purchases fully, don't they? One must be really crazy to purchase this coin from anyone other than a reputable dealer. Seriously!!

In order to make fakes don't the Chinese, etc., need the real McCoy (funny, Nubee) to copy it?
To even try would be highly illogical.
