If anyone has a 2010 charlton canadian coin guide (64th edition)
can you tell me what the value multiplier is? or any other information possible?

I've seen pictures of the 1870 5c 7/7 in most all recent charlton guide books, but no prices associated with it.

Also if anyone has some more information on what they think the value of a 7/7 variety is versus the regular I would really appreciate it.

This is the best picture I have, it's not in my possession.... yet :)

According to 2010 Charlton's there is no premium for 7/7.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Coins and Canada gives a little bit more price information. Without looking at my books, I'm pretty sure the 7/7 variety was not listed in the front of the 2010 Charlton. That came later.
I've seen one in an ICCS holder recently so they are recognizing them. There are a few for sale on ebay that I've been watching since I started collecting, they are way overpriced and have not sold in a few years so you cannot use those as a price reference.

On the link I gave you, it shows "past ebay Sales", there has been one slabbed 7/7 in MS63 that sold for a slight premium over a normal 1871.

There is also another type of 7/7 variety for that year. Here is a link showing you that version:

Doubling can also be present on the 1. Here is a picture of an unattributed 1871 1/1 that I bought recently:

Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone for looking up some info for me!

I just ordered a bunch of used Charlton Catalogues on Amazon, hopefully that will help in my variety searching.

You'll get a bit of a premium. That coin looks F so $40 trends = $20 real market. Add a 2x premium might get you $40 max.

I would however recommend getting them in EF, AU or MS...they're extremely difficult in very high grades...
