Just picked this one up today. I can't decided whether it's a 19 or 19A, opinions? If you need more pics of something specific let me know.

It looks like a 19A to me. Nice pick.

Thanks guys!! I tried the link on VW for the "VAMS and more" discussion on this VAM but it didn't work for me.

So, I have another question on this one. Since I couldn't read the discussion, I'd like to know about what was determined on the pitted wings. I reread the description and found it shouldn't be used to determine which die state it is. WHY? HOW?

The obverse has PL if not DPL fields, but I think the reverse falls a little short. Overall VERY happy to find this one. There's alot going on with this VAM!!

VAM-19A has almost nothing remaining of the crossbar of the r in trust; the remaining looks like three small dots.
VAM-19 has much more remaining of the crossbar; almost as much as the normal broken r of trust.
Also the E of E PLURIBUS does not have any die crack; the VAM-19A has the die crack through the E.

Thanks Lew! When I first VAM'd this, I missed the part about not using the pitted wing to determine a 19 from 19A, so I THOUGHT I had a somewhat intermediate of the 2.

Out of all my Morgans, I think this one has the most interesting diagnostics so far. Die scratch, die cracks, broken "R" and star, double profile and motto. Very interesting!
