Hello:

Not sure what caused this, but the bill has some red ink and also a little black ink at the bottom of the bill.
Is this BEP damage or customer damage?

Thanks

Ink from a leaking dye pack or from a red magic marker.

I've heard some $20's are marked this way when loaded into an ATM. It makes it easier to count when the bills are stacked and every 50th or 100th note is marked with high visibility ink. They can quickly determine from a side view how much money is stacked. Just my guess.

Definitely not BEP damage.

What's the paper money equivalent of " PMD"? "PPD"?

Good as any!
