I recently got a 1902O and 1903P in beautiful condition for my Dansco 7171. Thank you you know who.

Anyways I was trying to VAM them both last night and failed.

I do have a question about the reverse logo on both as they both look this way. This is the 1st time I have seen this on any Morgan I own.

Kind of hard to see. I had to darken pics to see at all. Under loupe the words "God we Trust" have a bunch of extra metal in between letters and some around the outline of lettering aw well. Some letter look like they run together. Others look doubled.

Is this attributed to any VAMS(I couldn't find one), or is this just very common in later years?

The crumbled letters in the "In God We Trust" motto is pretty common. Check out VAM 29 for the 02-O.

DOH! I must have been really tired last night. I did look at that and didn't see the "U" gouge. Looked again today and it's plain as day. Did see the doubling in the ear though.

I will give the 03 another shot this evening, now that I know not to concentrate on motto.

Truth is I didn't see it until I looked at the photo I sent you.

I looked at the 03p again. I settled on VAM-1 Closed 9. No other marks I can see.
