I found my first plastic cent tonight:
The funny thing is that plastic cent, like the real thing, costs more than one cent to produce.

Does this count? I recently found in a machine-wrapped roll of dimes. I found it about equally as interesting as a silver coin. Since I was edge checking the coins, I thought it was a penny at first, until I realized it was actually smaller than the dimes around it!

I love the odd, not gross, things. I mainly search cents and nickels, so if a coin or two is missing I don't lose much. Love when dimes are in cent rolls and you gain 9¢

Those transit tokens are collectible in their own right. My grandfather and my uncle were Chicago bus drivers and always had handfuls of them, they would be provided a certain amount for personal and family use but he walked to the barn so they piled up. When they passed my folks tossed buckets of them since they were no longer accepted.

Judging by those pics and looking at the word "Liberty" -- you most certainly have a DDO on your hands. Those are tough to come by in plastic the variety.
