Don't you prefer to pick-up the Maze coin later during some sale or just from ebay for much lower? Similar to one of the previous posters, I continue to sell my "overflood"....hits or not, everything goes for 50%-70% issue

My opinion is that it will hold its value for unique factor and 8,000 mintage. It's not super low but under 10,000 is decent.

Quote: no one like the crystal maple leaf? Not bad at all, but the coin "missed it's train", cause would be reasonable to continue the series in the 2013 and not make a break for couple of years. And any of 2008-2012 looks much better, imo. Mintage of 4500 doesn't play a role, cause even NCLT with the 500-1000 of mintage oversaturated the market.

@Silveroid, you are right as usual. Colonial Acres NCLT auction last weekend provided the usual awful results. The vast majority of NCLT coins went for 40-50% of issue price. A couple did well; like the 2 oz voyageur that sold for $800+ and the Pysanka Coin for around $300.
If anyone want to get rid of coins the only way you can do is to discount it. That's is the reality of NCLT collecting
As for the Maze coin, 8000 is way too high mintage in todays market. It needs to be under 4000 for any chance to become successful. 6000 mintage seem to be the tipping point. While the Cherry Blossom coins is selling a for a small premium, the gold plated Inukshuk has dropped below issue price.

Only 30 'Maze' coins left. This one will be sold out in the next few minutes.

Selling graded coins still makes a lot of money. More and more dealers are moving to NGC graded coins. Very good profit margins there for dealers and collectors.

BTW, you don't need to be top tier MC to order the Maze coin. It is now open to Platinum members on the website.
Those on lower tiers better grab it fast if you want it.

If 8000 Maze coins are sold out before reaching the general public, then way too many are being purchased for flipping and it's a sure sign the price will flop when the secondary market becomes flooded. In terms of future value, the mintage is not as important as how many are bought to be immediately sold or not. Is it my imagination or has the revamped MC (aided by XforX) attracted more flipping than ever before? If so, it also inflates RCM sales.

I find it odd that they place a limit of 2 for the maple leaf crystal coin and the yin yang coin and no limits on the maze coin.
Let me hear your answers.

Good point, wildflowerAB. We saw that with the Inuksuk, where one guy tried to sell 20 of them on ebay.
