I'm testing out some coin photography with my phone's camera. What better way to do so than have people grade using the photos! Grade?

Lots of chatter in left field obverse, some noticeable hairlines on both sides, hair shows clear signs of rub; textbook slider AU58, and might get a + at PCGS/NGC for the toning. Strike is weak. There are other signs of circulation; furthermore, the neck has a pretty noticeable area above the 1st 8 where another coin's reeding left a deep bag mark; the reverse also has what appears to be a fairly deep rim gouge @ about 4:00 C/W.
Very attractive Morgan with minor issues but I do not think this is a MS coin.

Nice looking coin. I think it might make MS 63.

Hits just look like bag marks to me.

Tough coin to grade. Anyone else?

I don't see anything that'd dissuade me from assigning this specimen an MS grade, with 64 as a floor (and I actually think 65 is in play), and the toning probably earning it a "+" regardless of the numerical value. I say this because both NGC and PCGS continue to shift to a standard of "market" grading rather than "technical" grading, so I'm basing my remarks on what I think they'd in fact do if it was submitted. The impression of another coin's dentils at the base of Liberty's neck is for me the most problematic issue.
As many extant Morgans as there are, raw material of this quality is definitely getting harder to find. A keeper for sure.

This would be at least MS63, wouldn't surprise me if this got MS64.

there's a lot of washout on the reverse from the lighting source. its tough to get great pics without the proper equipment. I see the a bit of wear and rub on the hair as it makes its way down towards her ear. I think its very questionable to make MS and a TPG might call it an AU58+. Nice color around the peripherals. Good looking coin.

It looks MS for sure to me but pretty banged up obverse. I'd be at MS-62 on this one.

Interesting that opinions range from 58 to 64+ and everything in between. Looks mint state to me, and I think it's a beautiful coin regardless of grade.
