I'm sure there will be slabbed versions appearing soon. "You buy it, we slab it".

This is for sure.
There is no problem to insert the coin and the ball to the slab in separate.

Here the example of the graded Lego minifigure with accessory:

Give it a little while, they will put a mini LCD screen on it with a pacman-on-a-chip game fully integrated into the back of the coin. Motion sensors embedded to detect tilt will be included so a person can make their way around the screen.

Maybe an MP3 player coin etc. etc.

Next one will have a "world's first ever" glow in the dark ball, and the coin will change colour when viewed with the included black light flashlight.

And of course, it will be "Awaiting Stock" half a dozen times before being offered to the general public.

the mint would never do that....the black light would be sold separately for an additional cost

The flashlight idea isn't new.
It comes with the set of 4 coins.

Let's not talk about flashlights. It still irks me that the 1st coin of the weather phenomenon series, the lightening one, came with a flashlight but then that was it. What a let down when the 2nd in the series was just a freezing bird on a tree branch. And no, I don't often buy gimmicky coins but I thought I might bedazzle my family with something different in the world of coins. It captured their interest for at least 30 seconds.....

With only one coin in the Weather Phenomenon series actually using the flashlight, it's sure to remain in MINT condition, for a long time. Wow your friends with a display case showing off your official Royal Canadian Mint MS65 flashlight. Actually, kids would have more fun with the black light flashlight than the Maple Leaf Maze coin.

Yeah, that ought to impress them a whole lot. It's a comfort to know I need not be concerned about involuntary commitment!

I've got an idea for the World's first INVISIBLE coin. Should I contact the RCM?

Sure contact, if it possible to touch it, but it invisible in the day light.
But design (even it not visible) should be good, otherwise it again just gimmicky coin.

That invisible coin....you don't want to touch it leaving finger prints, it's sure to get downgraded once it gets sLabbed.

I agree design is all important. Definately no polar bears invisible or not and I think we've had enough maple leafs to last awhile.

@ captainrich. I think you should go for it, suggest your idea to RCM. It's sure to be a another Great First and they seem to be running out of them.

Odd thing about those Flavour of the Month coins. If you buy it from the RCM it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. If you wait a couple months and buy it at a discount from a dealer, the flavour improves.
