1943-S Mercury Mechanical Tripling ?

I have had this dime for awhile , I always looked at the date as some kind of Mechanical Doubling. There is no evidence of any other doubling on the obverse, mechanical or otherwise or on the reverse . Since I have access to a scope when I visit the B&M and I can now take pics through it, I figured I would scope it and see what it looks like close up.

I was surprised to see that is actually looks tripled on on the 4 and 3 in the date. I don't know if it is possible to have mechanical tripling , or even if that is what I am seeing.All help and opinions appreciated.

Looks more like Machine Doubling than hub doubling to me.

And, by the way, there is no such thing as ' Mechanical Doubling' - it's called ' Machine Doubling'.

Thanks for the clarification Coppercoins, I know you are sick of it. I am going to assume that use of the word "doubling" would include tripling also. Otherwise I need to ask if it is possible to machine triple a coin in one strike ? I have seen plenty of machine doubled coins, but never one that was tripled, otherwise this coin would not even be here.

I understand that jhs, but this was not produced in the same manner as far as I know. An RPM is not the same as Machine Doubling . Thanks for your input ! I doubt Coppercoins will re-visit this topic so maybe someone else can explain this. I guess if the die can chatter once, it can chatter twice, but I would expect more evidence on other areas of the coin. I figure it's probably nothing (except cool) but I would value an explanation more than a comparison or a correction. I appreciate everyones help thus far ! Pretty easy to learn new ways to be wrong every day in this hobby.
