first, welcome to CCF.

Second, I agree with MV, you coin is worth no more than five cents. It's pretty old and that's cool, but they made so many of them that there is not a premium, especially with all of that (honest) wear.

You cannot place a value on it, it got you posting something and asking for information, here on CCF. Carry it as a pocket piece.

As an aside, if you collect Jefferson nickels you can probably complete a decent set in a few months.

Somebody else will come along and tell us which year/MM makes me a liar.

I wish they did have some type of value. Everytime I go coin roll hopping I end up with so many 1964's. I just decided to keep a roll for myself just for the fun of it.

CRH = Coin Roll Hunting . also that roll of 64 circs might be worth $2.05 in about 30 years from now . don't sweat it we were all newbies at one time or another .

Just like every rock is not a gold nugget, learning what one looks like will help you get rid of the common rocks you may find. First you have to learn what is collectable and then you keep on learning. Even I still find something new all the time.
