I'd like to say I found this one in a roll, but I didn't. Sometimes I get a little impatient and buy one. I know it's one that many of us search for regularly, so I thought I'd share it. As always your comments are more than welcome.

It is a nice die state. But a question about the mark on the nose and the reverse. Do these line up on top of each other? Is it incuse on both? If so it might be minor damage. Still a great find.

John1 Some guy on ebay had a roll of them and was selling them for around $35.
Truman, you can find them in a roll. They are not as uncommon as you probably think. That's what keeps the price down on such a nice DD. "All it takes is just a little patience".
Coop they do not line up, good eye to see the one on the reverse. They are incuse scratches.
Thanks all

$35 isn't that bad but if you want a high grade slabbed one they don't cost all that much. In fact there is a MS-69 and a MS-68 on the bay right now at a decent price.

I didn't get mine on ebay. I was just giving you an idea of what they're selling for. Ha ha.
I haven't noticed the higher grades, how are they priced? Copper Coins and Red Book agree their value is $50 at MS-65, but they don't mention higher grades. Maybe they're affiliated.

With the incuse marks on it, it wouldn't grade a MS-65. But it is still a great coin to have.
Rest in Peace

To bad , if it weren't for that scratch, the reverse would be impeccable . Hard to believe it's a scratch though ,really does look like a die break .
still nice pickup .
Hey Thad , look at those steps !

I'm glad ya'll like it. I appreciate it too. It is too bad it's scratched, there could be some way to repair it, but then we wouldn't appreciate finding the good ones as much. I keep pulling it out for another look at the early die state, doubling, and yes T-BOP even the steps.
