Just wanted to leave a comment regarding shipping costs. I'd like to recommend that you not judge a seller simply based on shipping costs since excessive shipping costs is a way to reduce the total amount ebay gets a cut of. Many sellers, myself included, pad shipping costs expecting that a buyer will bid less on my item - I'm not trying to scam the buyer.
Now, regardless of shipping costs, there is no question that the item should be properly packaged - especially in the case of a sensitive item like a coin. There is no excuse for the experiences some of you have had. My recommendation is to look for packaging specifics in their auction description, and if they don't exist, request them - don't assume a high shipping cost = expensive packaging. Likewise, don't expect that a low shipping cost means cheap packaging - some people use low shipping cost as a way to promote their item since people are more willing to bid on items without shipping costs.
