placed an order today, I truly hope it arrives in the next 45 days I am torn between posting a teaser, or not. Cause the order is not completed yet, and I don't have the coin in hand. Guess I will

1846-O quarter eagle: I reused these images from the recent 7070 thread, so I guess this will save a little CCF disk space. It's surprising how few 1845-O coins were posted.

Quote: It's surprising how few 1845-O coins were posted These are not easy years for issue collectors in Liberty Seated coinage. You're talking very small and infrequent mintage. The next dime is not until 1849 and that is a scarce coin at most grade levels especially problem free. Your next quarter is tomorrow. I would hope to see some halves as they had some seven figure mintage numbers in this current decade. How about a nice PCGS Coin Facts image to make up for it? This is a PCGS AU53. What a nice example.

DoubleEagle20, you can use the CCF Free Image Optimizer to eliminate the wasted blank space of your pictures.

Alas, another Sunday gone by with me on the sidelines. But I'm enjoying the postings immensely. Hadn't realized that the MMs on the QEs were punched through the arrow fletchings.

1847-O Quarter PCGS# 5411 PCGS Coinfacts estimates that there's only about 250 of these that still survive, in or out of holders. These are extremely difficult in mint state. PCGS has only certified 5 coins in MS60 and up. NGC has certified 14 coins in MS60 and up.

I'm helping fill the gap on this wonderful thread during these tougher years with some of my favorite images of circulated coins. Here is a PCGS EF45. Business strike with PL fields and very good looking IMHO.
