Quote: BTW, I think this is the same seller who had 20+ of the Inukshuk. No, this is Mario.95 from Ontario....I've bought not once from him circulated packs. He starts presales like Coin.4.Fun and another seller "Alex" And that one was from QC, while Inukshuk coin his first massive sale (actually he tried to sell :) )

WildflowerAB, fwiw, I did uncover these prior threads on the two coins, as they were released: https://goccf.com/t/227670 - Moonlight Fireflies https://goccf.com/t/250323 - Moonlight Wolves I've not confirmed, but it looks like at initial release the Wolves were issued near $300 CAD? Wow, and I thought $200/2oz. was a steep markup... I'd still really like to see these in person; the RCM images are air-brushed? How is that even legal? (I know some of their coloured coin images are clearly retouched, so I assume all of the images are).(I'm looking forward to seeing the new $200 design(s)... hopefully they step it up a notch from the prior release; I was totally uninspired by that one, though the $100 Cougar and $50 Hare are nice.)

@ NeoSpec. Thanks for your links. And my apologies, RCMs didn't paste properly but if you google the name of the coin, the archived listing can be found from RCM's website. . The mintage of all three was 4,000 and each were originally released at the same price of $189.95. Given the equal mintage, it's interesting that one of the series might be more sought after than others. For reasons I can't explain, it appears collecting single NCLT is more popular than complete series. If I like a coin from a series, it's none or all. As for Black Light/GID, the first NCLT released by RCM was the Lightening coin in the Weather Phenomenon series, which I did/am collecting. Would I buy another BL/GID? Nope. Why? NCLT is generally viewed best under natural light in order to appreciate its intricacies. So to shut off all the lights at night and shine a little flashlight while peering down on my Lightening coin just to appreciate the special effects....well, let me just say it's something that seldom happens. Black Lights have been around for decades and are pretty cool in a large venue like a bar or at a party with lots of movement but to me it seems a coin is just too small and the novelty of its glow by flashlight soon wears off. But no one is collecting this series? If so, I'd be interested in ways in which you've retained your interest in GID or BL coins.

^ I think I'll add it to my watch-list... if any crazy deals come-up I may try for them... (As I've dabbled in creating borosilicate art-glass, I already have that GID trio, so now it's easier to justify more GID, I suppose.)

This GID series of apparently undetermined NCLT numbers, no mention of a RCM display case. Just my thoughts but it would be a tad more practical in a case with an internal light that could be turned on, then immediately shuts off when the case is flipped opened in the darkness.....there lays the glowing coins. But still, the Coral Reef with its BL technology is somewhat of mismatch to previous GID issues. Considering the mintage is only 4000, RCM is assured of a sellout. They want and need sellouts to advertise the popularity of their releases. And when consumers first rip open the package and shine the light, sure, there can be the "Wow!" factor......but how long does that last? If not long, that meets the definition of gimmicky. New releases often exhibit plenty of enthusiasm by various members on this forum, but oddly the level of satisfaction pertaining to actually owning related past purchases generally draws a blank....why is that?

It arrived; it does take the "sticker" concept to the extreme as there is no texture on the reverse other than that inadvertently produced by the ink/paint/sticker, and as noted no note about denomination, country, anything.... Here are a couple mid-day pictures:

@NeoSpec Great pics. Why not show the other side of the coin? The COA clearly states it is "struck" by the RCM. @WildflowerAB All that I hear from you is negative. Again, such a deterrent to the hobby. Every single topic on this forum you troll with your hate on for RCM products 24/7. This is so disrespectful to all of us who purchase coins.

Please allow to disagree with you. Wildflower just express the thoughts about RCM items. These that he likes and dislikes. Btw, he is right about display. Perth Mint did exactly the same for its "Opal" series. Anyway, great pictures, NeoSpec I still doesn't think, that all this stuff have to be painted over coin, but it's look cool, so enjoy!

@ New1954 Feel free to share what you believe to be the virtues of this particular coin and series or GID/BL technology in general. Various points of view are what make discussion forums interesting.

Yes, very good standard advice.....if opinions that differ from yours either bore you or cause you anxiety, just don't read them. But let's all keep this forum civil.
