QE45 Valued Member United States 67 Posts	Posted 07/29/2016 1:16 pm I pulled out my childhood coin collection and have a few commenoratives that I will be requesting assistance in grading. I graded these myself when I was about 12 so I have no confidence in those graded. I have looked at numerous examples on various web sites so I think I am close but really could use the knowledge of this forum. He is my BTW that appears to be in a Mint State condition. Opinions? nickelsearcher Moderator United States 15789 Posts	Posted 07/29/2016 3:18 pm My eyes see a mid range MS example ... say MS63/MS64. The obverse field hit above the legend EPLURIBUS UNUM is significant ... and the general bag hit chatter in the fields IMHO hold this coin back from gem MS state. Important to note that the chatter visible on the obverse portrait cheek is a common characteristic of the BTW series. It is a result of original raw planchet marks that did not fully strike up ... and finding any BTW that is struck well enough to not exhibit this characteristic is a true challenge. Knowledgeable graders of the BTW accept the portrait chatter as 'normal' ... and the specialist works to find a coin without it.
