It is a farce with what the Mint is doing to the program. Getting a free wooden coin case was much simpler and seemed more worthwhile than getting the current 1% rebate. Anyhow, those wooden cases only cost about $20 at most to the Mint. They are made in China.

Yes, I figured they might be made overseas. It would be nice to see them made in Canada but the cost would be substantially higher I would assume. They are rather nice regardless where they are made. But that might be because I got it unexpectedly and for free... When the RCM still kind of somewhat had things in order for starting a new loyalty program. I'm curious now, as to how much a similar box made with Canadian maple might cost to make here in Canada. I'm still waiting (after a week and 2 emails) as to whether or not I will be getting the MC box via redemption code.

I think it's safe to say that most of us on this forum will stop supporting the RCM after these new changes. Better prices and better service from dealers, especially for those who have to pay taxes. Looks like they'll have to round up a new group of suckers.

The reason I asked is that mine is saying new order for 3 weeks now yet I ordered coins last week and they're shipped.

Guys, since your not expecting for popular and oversold coin from the CP, but just for your cases - you will get them :) With still careless (but sometimes good) customer service, we already not in 2012, where delays hit a lot of items....

Is anyone else struggling to use their redemption code? I don't mean system problems; I mean finding something to buy with it. Not interested in the case since I rarely display my coins and I can't seem to find anything I really want to get from the Mint besides the recent $60 SD. If I don't get it soon, I guess I'll have to buy from a dealer (not really worried about it disappearing). Hard to believe it's so difficult to spend 130 dollars. Idea?

2 Canadian Maple Leaves 1/2 oz = $ 59.90 1 Specimen Set - Snow Goose = 51.95 1 Silver Spirit of Canada = 19.95 Total $131.80
That's what I did.

I suggest gifting a coin with your code. I was going to get the case for myself but after reflecting upon it, it occurred to me I may order coins just to fill it. Also, I had problems redeeming code last month. Couldn't find the link on the page as instructions suggested. Typed whatever in the bar to get to it. Processed seemed to go ok but felt like the 'next step' was one short. Copied confirmation page and waited a few days. Nothing showed on Visa so called. They cleared it up no problem. One thing I did (2nd variable) that might have caused the problem was filling out the shipping address to a recipient other than the card holder. Not sure though. Lastly, buying a new vehicle, in my limited experience of it, is much worse. Last one, "sales manager" tried to sell my wife a second new car while she was filling out the paperwork for the one we just bought. Chagrin.
