Quote: Lastly, buying a new vehicle, in my limited experience of it, is much worse. Last one, "sales manager" tried to sell my wife a second new car while she was filling out the paperwork for the one we just bought. Chagrin. Well...it different for everyone. But if everything is going smooth, and you know, what you're buying, and you wanted it - the new vehicle purchase has to be great thing.

Well, a recurring theme on this thread touches on how RCM treats its most valued (a.k.a valuable) customers. MC is a fine sounding title. Reminds me of the VIP whiteboard I saw prominently displayed at a Hyundai dealer. Experiencing poor customer service, feeling like the vendor is not genuine about wanting your 'loyalty', but rather only in getting quality face-time with you to empty your wallet for decades to come, is not a good feeling. Plunking down for coins that we know are currently depreciating fairly rapidly may buy us that cherished crappy feeling --even when we get to be in the MC program!, but it doesn't compare, financially speaking at least, to a new vehicle purchase. Last I checked, cars are second most expensive purchase most ever get to make. Unless you live in Cuba, it too will depreciate fairly rapidly. Cheers, Silveroid.

I'm still waiting. The box must be being made by trees planted when I got my code. This is taking forever.

Agree with your points, Hedlessone Here, in Canadian NCLT section, not a once we compared purchasing coins directly from RCM and purchase new car from the dealer. And the bottom line was: At least with the car, you literally use it daily. It serves you and the family. Additional difference - you can buy discounted absolutely new (sealed, mint condition) coin on the secondary market, but you will not find pre-owned new car.

We still have to wait a while before we see the boxes because from the information I received the boxes will start shipping out when the mint gets the final total for the boxes they have to ship, and since the codes don't expire till March 31, it will most likely be after that, that we will start seeing the shipments.

I had a package delivery notice on my door today. It looks like I'm getting my box tomorrow. I was waiting for it since June 2016. I'm just hoping that my redemption code was successfully used and I don't get a bill for it. I wonder if there will be changes to the MC program come July 1. Perhaps the loyal customers will receive a 150th set of some kind. I will no longer be a member so I hope someone updates the thread come spring/summer.

I just redeemed my voucher for the 2017 1/25 ounce gold, maple leaves. No taxes in BC since the value of voucher was worth more than issue price. No other NCLT caught my eye, and if it did, $110 for an ounce of silver for some commemorative coin isn't worth it, when we all know that the value will drop in a few years. At least this has about $65 worth of gold.

I can't complain. It was literally free. I only qualified because I bought the FV coins. Initially, when the program launched, I'd be happy with the wooden case, but when the Mint gave money to spend, forget about a Made in China box treated with who knows what, and got gold instead.

Quote: forget about a Made in China box treated with who knows what, and got gold instead. That's nice. The most, I think got people, who spent this allowance on the Pysanka coin and re-sold it immediately, when it was popular.

Personally, I took the box, which I'll sell and buy gold or silver at spot. A bit more work but a more cost effective approach. And now I believe my master club membership will come to an end since I stop buying NCLT.
