So No case. No redemption code.. we are back to where we were before they changed the program only we have not been mislead.
I buy coins because I like them, or they remind me of someone or a place. Usually by this time I am at the platinum level this year I am not at the platinum level I am barley in the master club level because nothing has appealed to me in the last few months.
The free shipping use to appeal to me but now that my post office has a nice display it does not really matter anymore maybe the hobby has run its course with me. maybe the way the treated loyal customers has left a sour taste in my mouth and my sub continues does not what to support them,

I received the letter today as well; also in the letter is an option for the MC Exclusive coin being released in May 2017. Members must register by February 01 to receive the coin or a $100 Redemption code.

My letter today stated "you can request a m/c box, but they are subject to availability, or you can use the equivalent amount on any 'non-subscription' product from the RCM". My redemption code suggests that I have a $275 credit to use - Before the end of February, on a one time use, any amount not used by said date would be forfeited." Quite hard handed in my opinion, as it's supposed to be a 'benefit' to M/C members. |

I received the letter stating this year my redemption code is $130 I am happy with this, I just hope there are some coins I like before the end of March or if the case is available I will get one of those. moveing forward I still do not know if I will order from the mint or my local post office (the employees there are kinda cute lol)

I got my 130.00 as well. They said that the return to me at my level (Platinum regular) is 1% but they topped it up to 130.00 to cover the cost of a box if I wished. 1% isn't much of a prize and I assume that this bump to 130.00 was only because they had promised a box which makes sense.
I don't run to the store for 15% off so aiming for 2000.00 in purchases for 1% isn't worth anything above normal for me. The only benefit otherwise is first crack at new issues but even then they seem to get gobbled up by higher tiers fast.

I ordered the MC box instead of taking the $130 because the MC boxes are no longer being given out and this maybe my only chance at getting one.

I'll use my redemption to buy a coin I like, but I don't think I will purchase much from the Mint in 2017 at all.
