I write these articles while my wife translates them into Korean. This article is about hobbies and collecting in general. Keep in mind that you were not my intended audience when I wrote the article. You'll need to scroll down below the Korean text to get to the article in English (unless you can read Korean!). I never had much time for psychology, but I think Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs makes sense. It seems to me that many Asian cultures evolved against a background where security as to food, shelter, could not be assumed. They tend to see hobbies as a waste of time. In newly-prosperous China, leisure-time is a modern problem, and people seem at a loss to know what to do with themselves. Peter in Oz Report this Post to the Staff

What's up with only 53 views (as of 7:00 CST on 3/10)!! Its a pretty good article! Have pity on a poor writer.
