I am a big fan of * NATURALLY TONED * COINS ,particularly the multi color ones ( Rainbows). Not too keen on the artificially toned ones though!

Thought some were neat after digging up some around the family farm, once cleaned of dirt had some nice ED toning going on, THEN they told me the dig site was where the old outhouse used to sit...  |

I'm glad you posted this Coop. I've been wondering what "toned" coins are real? Enviro,handling,or mint toned coins. Is there a way to tell for sure or does it matter? This is a 72' Proof I found CRHing. I think it's toned from handling.  Edited by Newbie234

Newbie - that looks like toning from an album.
I love toned coins, especially coins with crusty original toning that don't have market acceptable cleaning.
