Sudz Pillar of the Community United States 1572 Posts	Posted 09/02/2016 10:55 pm Please take a look at this coin and tell me if you think it is an extreme lamination problem or if it is some form of PSD/PMD. The surface has flaked of in several layers, almost as if the whole obverse is peeling away. I have never seen a lamination error to this degree which led me to believe it was PSD/PMD except the reverse is almost pristine. I sure would appreciate any help or opinions on this one, thank you! cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 09/03/2016 01:44 am At 2.9 grams, it's not heavy. The normal weight for a Copper cent is 3.11 grams. Has to be some kind of planchet error. Pretty sweet looking coin! Report this Post to the Staff

It looks like it was kept from circulation for most/all of its life. The reverse looks very nice. Report this Post to the Staff
