Hi. Thanks for the help. My first post. I bought these coins at a garage sale for a couple of dollars each. At home I have tried to look them up but can't find a duplicate design anywhere. Is it a reproduction, play money? There is no A,D,E, F, G or J mint mark. Which is the first problem. The eagle claws are different. It weighs 3 grams which I think is correct, and there is a branch with leaves under the 2 not visible on pics I see in catalogues. What is this? I have a 2 Pfennig 1895 and 1897, and 1907 all of the same design.

This is not a German 2 pfennig coin, but a 2 heller from Austria. Hence no A,D,E, F, G or J mint mark. Be assured, they are real and no fakes.

These Austrian coins look very similar to the German Pfennings, but Bart is correct. You can read more about your coin here...
