I pulled the trigger and purchased it. You all can guess the grade and I will reveal over the weekend. Pretty expensive coin but worth it to own for a few years and should hold value pending a Zombie Apocalypse or a collapse of the world economy.

That has to be one of the best, deepest strikes I've ever seen on a large diameter CBD.

Surfaces look original and the patina is quite attractive. The only detraction I can note is that there is apparently a rim bruise on the reverse above UNI, although this may be due to the angle of the camera.

I think Alpha hits it on the money here at AU55; it has a shot at 58 with the toning and strike, although I think there is a bit too much rub to merit a full 58, a "55*" would not be unreasonable...if this is in a 58 holder I would not be surprised.

Beautiful dime!

I agree with paralyse, that is an incredibly well struck 1828 JR-1. Everything about it is good: strike, toning, appeal.
I believe it has no wear so I will grade it at MS60. An excellent purchase which will no doubt provide much satisfaction.

Close to MS but I think it falls short. Still a beauty, AU-58

Great eye Germanicvs

Not a lick of wear. Very well struck coin. Very scarce and I am very happy. I will treasure this one for a while.
