well I broke down and opened up my SS package! I got five crisp uncirculated five dollar bills; this is from the last paper bill series we had; these are from the initial primt run, before a holographic security strip was added!! I saved some of the security strip bills, but no fives like this!   |

I received a nice selection of US, Cuban and Philippines coins - 15 in total! - from my Secret Santa along with a bag of shredded currency from the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank.
Very nice! All are areas of collecting interest for me - someone did their homework! Many thanks to my Secret Santa!

Oih82w8-I am not certain what the stage designation indicates. I think it would have something to do with the age of the die. I will post the question in the modern coin error thread and see what the experts say.

Finally got to take a pic of Badtothebone's generous Secret Santa gift to me. He read my CCF list of what I am working on, so he sent a a herd of Buffaloes. However, that was just the start! List: 1. 2005-S PF63 Buffalo Jefferson  2. 1927, 1935 (2), 1918, 1934, 1924 Buffalo nickels to replace my acid date ones!  3. A North Dakota State Quarter (buffaloes on REV!)  4. Yet another Buffalo - an NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo slabbed 2005 Buffalo Jefferson - beautiful!  5. Clad P&D Bicentennial year sets 6. Case-mounted Virginia state quarter 7. Case mounted P&D, regular and gold plated Louisiana Purchase Jeffersons 8. Case mounted P&D, regular and gold plated Lewis & Clark Jeffersons 9. A PCGS MS69 1995 Baseball commemorative - Atlanta Olympics - Half Dollar. 10. A PCGS PR63 DCAM 1984-S LA Olympics commemorative dollar - (love the Eagle on the REV!) All of the above came in a PCGS plastic slab storage box - so now I have a way to store the other handful of slabbed coins I own!  Again, many, many thanks  |
